MIHEC Student Profile: Gage Robinson

I’m good with technology, I love it, and it’s my passion. It started with gaming, and I’m still a gamer, but this fall I’m going to Dakota County Technical College to study web design and social media in a certificate program. It’s close to my home in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, where I live with my mom and my brother. My family and I have a website called Gage Gives Back , which helps families like ours who are dealing with traumatic brain injury. A lot of people have helped me get through hard stuff, and I want to help people in return.

My high school experience was fun, but I didn’t get many technology classes. I took woodworking and construction. Web design is better for me because I like exploring new things.

Some day, I hope to run a web design business, and college is the first step. I’m proud of myself for doing this on my own. If you are thinking about going to college, build up your confidence and trust yourself. I believe I can do everything, and I can’t wait to go.
